HOKKAIDO
Region
-
We thank God that the students who participated in NET26 and spring camps in each area received encouragement from the Word and that a sense of being sent out has been cultivated. Pray that fellowship centered on the Word will be formed in each place, responding to the challenge to live out of the Gospel and witness through all of life. Also, that new students will become settled in the activities.
-
For the salvation of non-believing students who are participating in campus and block activities. That they will also connect to local churches and be given encounters with the Lord.
-
For the Cooperation Meeting on June 27. This year we will hold group Bible studies. May it be a time to learn what students are experiencing in their daily lives, to share the current situation of student mission, and to pray together.
-
For the Summer Camp, August 12–14. That the spirituality of each preparation committee member will be prepared, that the preparation will be protected, and that it will be used as an opportunity to share the Gospel. For the ministry of the speaker, Rev. Koki Yoshinaga (JECA Hiraoka Evangelical Christ Church).

That travel within Hokkaido for Staff Workers Jun Sugimoto and Atsuki Inoue will be protected. That they may understand the needs of students and be able to give encouragement in faith and challenge toward mission.
TOHOKU Region
-
Pray for student leaders. In campus and regional activities, may the leaders encourage and support one another and be able to lead the group in unity in the Lord.

For the settling of new students. May the students newly given be able to continue gathering, and may KGK become a place of security within their student life and be used as a place of growth in faith.
-
For non-believing students gathering in campus and regional activities. Through the Word, may they encounter the Gospel and students who accept the Lord Jesus Christ be raised up. Also, that they will connect to local churches and be led into church life.

For the Tohoku staff team. May Sosei Nagai (Tohoku regional director / deputy director of student mission / head of training member care) and part-time staff Kaho Nawaya be able to follow up Tohoku students with good teamwork. Also, that each of their lives will be protected.
HOKURIKU Region
-
In line with the 2026 student theme “Let’s gather – Hokuriku Forest” (Hebrews 10:25), may students be able to encourage one another through student meetings and Bible study groups.
-
That new participating students will be given to each prefecture and each Bible study group.
-
For the Hokuriku 50th anniversary commemorative meeting and Cooperation Meeting general assembly held on 6/6 (Sat), that many will attend. May it be a good opportunity to share in the grace that has been given to the Hokuriku region.
-
For the Hokuriku–Tokai voluntary retreat (7/19–20), planned by volunteer graduates (students may also participate), that it will be a time of rich fellowship and learning.
-
For the Summer School (8/25–27) [Speaker: Rev. Aiichiro Takahashi (United Church of Christ in Japan, Furukawa Church)]. That the service of the preparation committee (in charge: Fukui University), group leaders, praise team, etc., will be protected. That participants will be given and they will be able to know God’s love.
-
For those affected by the Noto earthquake and floods, that God’s comfort and support will be given.
-
That the service of alumni officers, Cooperation Meeting committee members, and the ministry of staff Tomoko Narumi in Hokuriku will be protected.
KANTO Region
-
That the Kanto KGK Student Fellowship will be used for students’ salvation, growth, shared vision for world mission, and mutual support for expanding and deepening student mission. May the gospel be proclaimed among the 1.17 million students studying at more than 280 universities, junior colleges, and vocational schools in the nine prefectures (Kanto and Koshin). May students and graduates who will live out the gospel be continually raised up.

From June to August, the first term ends, exams take place, and summer camps are held.
May the Lord’s encouragement be upon campus, block, class-year, and regional leaders who led first-term activities.
May students grow in the Lord through working on exams and reports.
May KGK and camps of each church/denomination be richly used for evangelism and growth. Especially for Summer School (8/19–22) and Challenge Camp (8/25–29). -
That the Kanto staff team may deeply know their salvation in Jesus and serve with joy.
TOKAI Region
-
We thank God that many new students have joined activities. In order to love students sent out with prayer from churches and alumni and to grow together, may staff and students together be able to follow them up well.
-
That newly started campus activities will be used for the Lord’s mission. Also, that they may encourage one another while supporting each other in the Tokai region, especially for the student executive committee that leads this ministry.
-
For the Summer School preparation committee. That students may aspire to evangelism, encourage campus work, and experience the joy of the Gospel. Also for the preparation of the speaker.
-
That KGK Graduate Fellowship committee members may understand the thoughts of alumni and that it will be a gathering where they encourage one another, while also continuing to be given a heart to support students.
-
For the Cooperation Meeting committee, especially that they may thoroughly prepare so that the 40th anniversary commemorative meeting will be richly used.
-
A new staff team has begun from the new academic year. That the team may use their respective gifts and support students and alumni.
KANSAI Region
-
We thank God that many new students have joined. May they be able to rejoice in and enjoy fellowship in the Lord.
-
That regional activities, block prayer meetings, and campus activities will be protected and that mission work will advance. Also, that regional officers, block committees, and campus leaders may respond proactively to the Lord’s love and serve God and people.
-
Summer School will be held 8/18–21. That the preparation committee may serve with unity and joy. That it will be a camp where non-believing students meet Jesus. That students connected to KGK may come to know God more deeply.
-
For the Kansai staff team. That each person’s health and spirituality will be protected and that they may serve students with good teamwork. For the ministry of staff Shunta Sasagawa and GA Sou Tomiura who began in April. For staff Dean and his family, who will retire and return home in June, that their path will be protected.
-
Together with alumni and the Cooperation Meeting, that we may share KGK’s thanksgiving and challenges, and advance the work of KGK while giving thanks to God.
CHUGOKU and
SHIKOKU Region
-
That Christian students will be sent to all prefectures and all schools in Chugoku–Shikoku, and together with non-Christian students may come to know the richness of the gospel, build up the church, and become graduates who testify through their whole lives.
-
That the health and spirituality of students serving as regional, block, and campus leaders will be protected, and that new leaders will be raised up.
-
That the theme retreat (6/26–27) will be a good time of fellowship and a time when ownership of the yearly theme deepens.
-
That fellowship in the Cooperation Meeting (alumni association) will expand and deepen, and that each prefectural fellowship will support both alumni life and student mission. Also, that alumni sent outside the region will connect with fellowship in their areas.
-
That staff Yoshiki Tsukamoto, Haruka Inoue, and Ritsu Iwai’s health and spirituality will be prepared by the Lord so they may serve Him and the students. Especially for Yoshiki Tsukamoto, who lives in Kanto, that his family will be protected while he travels in the region.
KYUSHU Region
-
That campus and block activities will be blessed, the faith of Christian students nurtured, and non-believing students led to faith.
-
That the faith lives of baptized students will be protected and they may grow in Christ.
-
That new students will connect with KGK and form good friendships in faith. That students who become members will be raised up.
-
That preparation for Summer Camp will be protected.
-
That through alumni association activities, each person’s faith will be encouraged. That activities will arise also in Saga, Nagasaki, and Kagoshima. For alumni leaders and prefectural leaders.
-
That financial needs will be met.
-
That staff Yuya Kawano and GA Tasuke Kaneda may serve students with good teamwork, and that their families will be supported.
OKINAWA Region
-
That the ministry, health, family, and church of staff Hajime Shiroma (in charge of Okinawa) will be supported.
-
That the staff may build good relationships with students, alumni, and churches, and advance mission together in prayer.
-
That through KGK’s work, Okinawan students may find the joy of living in the gospel, and that this joy will spread throughout Okinawa.
-
That circles of prayer will arise on campuses and mission work will advance.
-
Summer Camp (9/2–4) at Miyako Baptist Church: that preparation will be protected and it will be used as an opportunity to encounter God’s presence.
-
That through KGK Graduate Fellowship activities, each participant’s faith will be encouraged, and that they will pray and support one another.
-
That KGK Okinawa’s financial support needs will be met.
INTENRATIONAL
STUDENT MINISTRY
-
There are about 300,000 international students in Japan. Pray that more international students will be loved, accepted, and welcomed in Christ through KGK nationwide.
-
For the ministries of OCF (Overseas Christian Fellowship) and Crossing in Kanto, and IBC (International Bible Cafe) in Kansai, and international student ministry activities in each region.
-
For international students who came to Japan in April, that they will connect to fellowship and encourage one another to live in the gospel.
-
For students preparing to study abroad from summer.
-
That the importance of international student ministry will be more widely recognized, and cooperation will grow. That the perception that it is only for those who can speak English will disappear, and that ministry using simple Japanese will grow.
-
For staff Yu Kobayashi, Cheney Tee, Yufu Kutaragi, and Kelly Nicholas, and for volunteer staff—that more people with the same vision will be provided.
NATIONAL OFFICE
-
We thank God that 48 staff and GAs have been raised up. Pray that General Secretary Shinya Yoshizawa and Deputy Yoshiki Tsukamoto may appropriately support the staff team.
-
Give thanks that student associations have been established in all 9 regions, and that student mission is advancing through nationwide fellowship via the national council. Pray that Director Ryousuke Ikebuchi and Deputy Sosei Nagai may support regional staff teams. Also pray for the Training Member Care Department and World Mission Department.
-
We thank God that He has entrusted KGK with important resources such as people, finances, real estate, documents, and books. Pray that administrative staff may be protected in their daily work and manage these faithfully.
-
We thank God that many alumni and churches support student mission through prayer, giving, encouragement, and service. Pray that Graduate KGK ministry will be used, fellowship will deepen and expand, and KGK’s financial needs will be met. Also pray for the work of the media/public relations department.
