GREETINGS

Rei Manjo
Chair of the National Representative Committee
Junior, Okayama University of Science, Chugoku & Shikoku Region
In 1947, two Christian students began holding prayer meetings in what was like a storage room at Waseda University, and that was the beginning of KGK. Today, it has spread all over Japan, where students on campuses, in blocks, and in regions gather to read the Bible, pray, sing praises, and enjoy fellowship together. Even in the midst of their busy days filled with studies and part-time jobs, students still come together in this place called KGK.
The first time I got involved in KGK was at a regional spring camp. My brother strongly urged me to go, saying, “you won’t regret it,” and I finally gave in. At that time, I was completely exhausted both mentally and physically. But the KGK seniors welcomed me warmly, listened seriously to my struggles, and prayed for me. It was then that I became convinced, “KGK is the place God has given me.” Since then, I’ve participated actively, and it continues to be a precious fellowship for me today.
Whether you are a Christian, someone simply interested in Christianity or the Bible, or someone looking for lifelong friends—whoever you may be—KGK is ready to welcome you with joy. Just try coming three times. That step of courage may change your life.
"But be sure to fear the LORD and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you."
(1 Samuel 12:24, NIV)

‘Not that I want to become a believer but I do have an interest in Christianity’
‘My high school was a Christian school and I have a good impression of Christianity’
‘As part of studying culture and gaining general knowledge, I want to study the Bible at least once’
If so, why not come and to a KGK Bible study and read the Bible with fellow students?
KGK offers opportunities for everyone to join to read the Bible. What a joy if then you were able to think , ‘perhaps this could be real’.
To all the students who are Christians, you are encouraged to come and join in the KGK fellowship. For those who had been attending church without conviction, or not reading the Bible very much, or if it’s the Christian music that you enjoy, or if you are keen to introduce Jesus Christ to your friends - please do come along to KGK. You are sure to make lifelong friends as I have.
‘God has led (sent) me to this university for His purposes’.
When you are convicted of this, your way of living will change.
“Remember your Creator in the days of your youth.” (Ecclesiastes 12:1, NIV)
