KGK 80th Anniversary
In 2027, KGK will celebrate its 80th anniversary, made possible through your prayers and support.
On this special anniversary page, you will find our history, testimonies, and information about the 80th anniversary events.
May this be a time to rejoice together in the journey God has led us on, and to pass on hope to the next generation.
We are now receiving donations for the 80th Anniversary Celebration.
Living Together out of the Gospel — Toward KGK’s 80th Anniversary
At the 70th Anniversary Conference in 2017, KGK proclaimed the “Word of the Foundation” together with the present generation, standing in continuity with the first generation and all those who came before us. With one heart, we offered praise to the Lord our God, who has protected and guided us throughout these 70 years.
Through the 70th Anniversary Fundraising, many graduates and churches contributed generously. Over the past eight years, your support has powerfully sustained the KGK movement and has been a great source of encouragement for us.
In particular, we give thanks that we were able to appoint multiple staff in seven regions (excluding Hokuriku and Okinawa), to establish several staff positions dedicated to Graduate Ministry, and to create the “Staff Support Fund” for the children of staff from junior high school age and above. These have been significant steps forward in the growth and maturity of the KGK movement. Once again, we express our heartfelt gratitude for your warm support.
In recent years, the church in Japan, while looking to the future, has been facing many challenges, including population decline and generational succession. In this context, we receive with deep gratitude and a sense of solemn responsibility the trust and expectations that so many churches have placed upon KGK.
It is our earnest prayer that, through the Lord’s church, God’s kingdom may continue to expand, and that students may come to know more deeply the richness of the Gospel, live by its grace, and grow as witnesses of the Gospel throughout their entire lives. For this reason, we believe it is essential to continue appointing staff, especially full-time staff. We are also committed to providing further training opportunities for our staff and, where necessary, improving their working conditions, so that they may serve with joy and stability for many years. To make this possible, the establishment of a stable financial foundation is indispensable.
We humbly ask you to join us in prayer for this vision. And if you sense the Lord’s prompting, we warmly invite you to participate in the 80th Anniversary Fundraising.
